TYRA PULLS THE PLUG ON TALK SHOW

Seems like Tyra Banks is ready to move on. The former supermodel is saying goodbye to The Tyra Show to focus on her production company Bankable Studios. Banks released a statement today saying:

"This will be the last season of  The Tyra Show. I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hairsalons for the past five years."

Guess she won't be replacing Oprah! Best wishes to her though.

"CAPTAIN EO" RETURNS TO DISNEYLAND

Looks like Michael Jackson's legacy will continue to live on at Disneyland, as the popular theme park has announced plans to bring back the "Captain EO" 3-D film this February. The 17-minute flick debuted 23 years ago and was an instant hit with the public. The film revolves around Michael Jackson playing a dancing commander who leads an alien and robot crew on a quest to battle the wicked queen. Check out a preview below.

ALICIA KEYS DEBUTS STRONG WITH NEW ALBUM

Alicia Keys charted high this week with her latest album 'Element of Freedom'. The singer sold 406,000 copies of her new disc, placing her at No.2 on the charts right behind Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed a Dream,' which came in at No.1 for its the forth week in a row. Following Ms. Keys was Andrea Bocelli at No.3, Taylor Swift at No.4 with her hit disc 'Fearless' and Carrie Underwood at No.5. Good job Alicia!

T.I GETS RELEASED FROM PRISON

Good news for Atlanta rapper T.I.! The "King of the South" was released early from prison today after serving seven months at a federal prison in Arkansas, for trying to purchase machine guns back in 2007 while still on probation. The rapper is on the way to a halfway house in Atlanta to complete the rest of his sentence, which will consist of two to three more months. Hopefully the experience has matured the rapper and will lead to a new outlook on life and his career.

R.I.P BRITTANY MURPHY

It's always sad to see good people die. Brittany Murphy, 32, was a talented actress who starred in films such as '8 Mile' and 'Just Married'. She had a great personality and a smile that could light up any room. My thoughts go out to her family during this difficult time.
